One of the most amazing artists of our generation, the PRINCE himself, is returning to the road. When Prince tours his concert is without a doubt one of the most highly coveted events to get tickets for because they sell out within hours.
Luckily the good folks at Centric are offering discounted tickets for the upcoming Welcome 2 America tour. December 14th serves as “The Purple Day In December” when the concert tour will kick off in East Rutherford, NJ.

(New York, NY) The “purple day in December”—that Prince referenced as the start date of his “Welcome 2 America” tour, during his impromptu press conference at Harlem’s Apollo Theater—has been revealed. Announced exclusively on local radio station WBLS 107.5, the tour will kick-off Dec. 14th, 15th and 16th at the Izod Center in East Rutherford, NJ; then will hit Madison Square Garden on Dec. 18th and 29th. The purple one will be joined by an all-star line-up – Janelle Monae, Mint Condition, Cassandra Wilson, Esperanza Spalding—that will this a major musical experience. Tickets go on sale at 10am, Saturday October 30th via Ticketmaster.

Arriving a little sooner is her new Christmas album hitting stores next month. Get ready for a little Christmas cheer on November 2nd when MC drops Merry Christmas II You the follow-up to her 1994 smash release Merry Christmas. This album will feature Mariah’s version of holiday classics as well as all new songs. Big congratulations on the baby Mariah and much success on your upcoming release!

Some of you may not know but KRAVE Magazine is based in Dallas, TX which various creative, media and marketing teams across the nation. Our staff has long been embroiled in a torrid love affair with H&M. We travel to the cities where she is; passionately fall victim to all of the delightful goodies she offers; then we return to our beautiful city, reminiscing of the time spent with Miss Hennes & Mauritz.
But not any longer…well in a few months at least.
H&M has announced that they will finally be opening their first flagship store in Texas at none other than Dallas’ own illustrious NorthPark Center, one of the billion dollar malls in the world.

H&M, Hennes & Mauritz, the design-driven clothing retailer known for high fashion style and quality basics at affordable prices, is proud to announce the opening of a new store location at NorthPark Center, the premiere shopping center in Dallas, in the second half of 2011. This will be the first H&M store to arrive in the Texas market!
H&M believes strongly in the Texas market and looks forward to bringing fashion-forward style to consumers in the area. The new H&M location at NorthPark Center will measure approximately 24,000 square-feet. The opening of this location will offer discerning shoppers in the Dallas area access to the latest trends and updated basics for the whole family.
The U.S. has been one of H&M’s most important expansion markets since the company’s New York debut ten years ago. There are approximately 200 H&M stores in the U.S. and close to 2,000 stores in 37 countries around the world.
The fashion frenzied folks in Dallas are THRILLED about this announcement yet a few of us truly feel a pang of loss. The realization that the masses in our city now have access to the affordable, yet fashion forward treasures that we’d travel willingly for…is a bit saddening. My my my! We are so very excited about Ms. Michele’s upcoming musical offering. The young songstress has truly proven, in both her studio sessions and DEFINITELY her live performances, that she is in it for the long run and with a talent like hers, I’m certain consumers will continue to support her.
There is just something about the girl…she’s just alluring. In all her bad girl, fashion obsessed glory, Rihanna’s smile just reminds you of that young girl from Barbados who stepped on the scene with braggadocio singing “If it’s lovin that you want…”.
Who are we KRAVing? Brandy! The RnB singer has been heating the dance floor up on season 11 of Dancing with the Stars. Five weeks into the competition and still going strong! This past Monday she received her highest score of the season when her and her partner Maksim danced the quickstep to the Friends theme song “I’ll Be There For You”. She received impressive marks from all three of the judges earning her a score of 27. Brandy is rockin’ the crowd out! With just a few more weeks left in the competition we must keep Brandy on top. Vote, vote, vote! Tune in tonight as the stars now have two dances to conquer. Only on ABC 8/7 c!
